How to Add and Use
GAStat Widgets

Set up Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets to keep your GA4 data one glance away.

Enter Home Screen Edit Mode

  • On your iPhone, long-press on an empty area of the Home Screen until the icons start to jiggle.
  • Tap the "+" button in the top-left or top-right corner to open the widget gallery.

Find GAStat in the Widget Gallery

  • In the search bar at the top, type "GAStat" to find the app's widgets.

Choose a Widget

GAStat offers several widget types. All widgets require a Pro subscription.

Home Screen

Real-Time Users — Small & Medium

Live active user count with a sparkline chart. You can add multiple widgets, each showing a different GA property.

Multi-Property — Large

Compare up to 6 properties side by side on a single large widget.

Monitor real-time event counts for your most important actions.

Add the Widget to Your Home Screen

  • Select your preferred widget size and tap "Add Widget".
  • Drag it to your desired position.
  • Tap "Done" to exit edit mode.

Add a Widget to Your Lock Screen

GAStat supports two Lock Screen widget sizes — check your real-time user count without even unlocking your phone.

Lock Screen

Circular

Real-time active user count displayed as a compact circular widget below the clock.

Lock Screen

Rectangular

Property name and real-time user count in a wider format, ideal for a quick read.

How to add:

  • Wake your iPhone and long-press on the lock screen until the "Customize" button appears at the bottom.
  • Tap "Customize", then select "Lock Screen".
  • Tap the widget area below the clock to open the widget picker.
  • Search for "GAStat" and choose Circular or Rectangular.
  • Tap "Done" to save.
Lock Screen Widgets require iOS 16 or later.

Select a GA Property for Your Widget

  • Long-press a GAStat widget and tap "Edit Widget".
  • Select the GA property you want to display.
  • You can add multiple Small Widgets, each configured to a different GA property, so you can monitor several sites at once.

Using the Widgets

  • Widgets update periodically to show your latest analytics data.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

Can't find GAStat widgets?

Make sure GAStat is installed and updated. Your device must run iOS 17.6 or later.

Widget data not updating?

Open GAStat to refresh your session and check your login status. If the issue persists, try removing and re-adding the widget, or restart your device.

Lock Screen Widget showing a lock icon?

Lock Screen Widgets are available to Pro subscribers only. Upgrade inside the GAStat app to unlock them.

How do I remove a widget?

Long-press the widget and select "Remove Widget".

Additional Tips

  • Combine multiple Small Widgets to keep an eye on different GA properties at the same time.
  • Use the Large Widget for a quick overview of multiple GA properties in one place.
  • Add a Lock Screen Widget to check your real-time user count without unlocking your phone.
